Based in Mumbai, India, Cine Musicians Association (CMA) is an association of the choicest musicians of the country, with strength of approximately 1000 members, who predominantly play for Indian Cinema (Bollywood) recordings, non-cinema recordings & world class live performances globally. CMA is affiliated to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees Association (FWICE), the parent body comprising many such associations of technicians, artistes, writers, producers & directors working in Hindi Film Industry.

It’s raining awards and honors for CMA members. Now two of our members have been honored with the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akedami Award (Akademi Puruskar) for their individual excellence and contribution to Music.

2. NILADRI KUMAR for Creative & Experimental Music.We ecstatically congratulate both our gems.
CMA is overjoyed with pride as our member, flautist of international repute, Mr Rakesh Chaurasiya has won double Grammys for “Pashto” and “As We Speak” with other musicians, including tabla maestro Zakir Hussain.
“As We Speak” won in the ‘Best Contemporary Instrumental Album’ category while “Pashto” in the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ category.
We congratulate him on this phenomenal achievement and celebrate this moment.
We feel proud to share the good news that our Honorary member and legendary music director Shri Pyarelal Sharma of Laxmikant-Pyarelal duo has been honoured with the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award. We congratulate him on this long-overdue recognition by the Govt of India.
The CMA
Since its advent, Songs have been an integral part of Indian Cinema, rather a backbone of Indian Story-telling and, more often than not, the main deciding factor in the commercial success of a film.
The General Body elects the Managing Committee through elections in the AGM, for tenure of 3 years. The managing committee comprises principal office bearers and committee members.
